Melody is proud of her Cuban American Heritage, her working class roots, and fulfilling her life long dream of becoming a lawyer. She has a passion for helping others and her legal career bears that out. In fact, she has been living that passion working for law firms her entire adult life.
Melody started as a receptionist in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm when she was 19 years old. Since that time, she has held every major position from intake to paralegal and now attorney. Never one to shy away from hard work, she raised her 4 children while working full time and completing college and law school. When she looks back on it all, she still can’t believe it.
Given what she has accomplished so far, is it any wonder that her professional and personal philosophy is centered on seeking justice and equal treatment under the law. Melody is a firm believer in being the change you want to see in the world.
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Melody has deep roots in the community. She graduated from the University of South Tampa with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and then earned her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School’s Tampa campus.
Melody is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association and the Cuban American Bar Association.
